I was getting ready to teach this to my guild and worked the Amadeus stitch with the white perle cotton. It looks ok but I thought I would try the light blue floss next. Ok, but not great. I decided the white floss with the blending thread was the best choice. You can't see it in my photo, but it has a nice sparkle. I think people are afraid to change colors in pieces because they may have to rip. But if you don't try something new, how will you learn?

what a fascinating stitch! It reminds me of the string art that I used to do a kid. I love the white... definitely stands out better than the light blue but having said that... the blue does look lovely as well against that fabric! :o)
